Hey Everybody,

THANK YOU all again for coming on board with me for another campaign! About a week ago I was a nervous mess as always before launching a campaign, but as everything started coming together and things got organized here in Mongolia, the anxiousness has started to turn to excitement. Do to both cashmere prices being back to historical highs and the 20% premium we are paying directly to the herders for the more sustainable fiber, I know yarn prices have had a bit of a jump from last year. BUT, with options for dyeing yak wool, camel wool, and what’s looking like a reliable source for natural dyes, there are a ton of cool things we can do if funding continues. I’m also really excited to get started on the recycled cashmere blend and sharing pictures of that whole process. A lot of these things aren’t just firsts for us but firsts for Mongolia, so I’m really interested to see how this all develops, what happens over this summer, and to share the process with everybody!

Thank you again! If you have been happy with previous seasons and are excited about this one as well, please do share with your knitting groups and contacts so we can get more cool stuff to play with. As always, holler with any questions you might have. And hopefully I can get to the countryside soon for some new pictures! For the first few updates, there might be some you guys recognize.

Thank you,

Jon
